Ukuleles have since been used to brighten mornings with jams on buses or trains, cure hangovers, heal bones as well as being a good pass time where everyone and I mean EVERYONE can play and be awesome at it. It's an instrument that keeps your spirits up, helps you recall happy memories and makes you feel one with the world.
These stripes are the colours of peace, joy and comfort that sum up the ukulele as a tool to make small and big changes in the world from as little as healing a cut to stopping a war.
The ukulele has a long history of hate where back in the day Ukuleles and their players were burned together as they were seen as breachers of peace even though they played to end wars and discrimination. Their sacrifices weren't in vain and the ukulele to this day is seen as a symbol of peace to end world ocnflict and bring about a more colourful and happy world

Steven universe is a perfect example of using the ukulele to promote love and peace not to mention many other positive messages for all ages to sing along to. A super cute song and a super cute show! I recommend.
Theres usually a mixed reception when a musician comes onto your bus or your train and starts playing but their true intention is to make that Monday morning a little less meh and help you start the day happier and continue being happy. There are of course people who are immune to a ukulele's healing ways and rather they weren't there at all (either these people are still living in the dark ages or they haven't had their morning coffee yet, go figures)

Between the 16-17th century the puritans only allowed the most sombre of music and any form of fun or joy was prohibited. They especially hated the ukulele and their players who were seen as alien and impure beings that must be vanquished. Their music was seen as the devil's music and a breach of their peaceful and moral livelihoods so ukuleles were burned and their players hunted down and burned with them.

Ukulele players were peaceful and free spirited people who way before being hunted would spread the joys of ukulele music and preach of a more kind world to end world conflict, fight injustices, heal the ill and incurable and make people happy.

Ukulele players then became rebellious when ukulele music was banned and the world becoming more and more violent. They needed to spread their music more than ever and because of their fighting spirit and sacrifice the ukulele gained the ability of persuasion and healing. It is now the symbol of peace in a number of protests around the world to end world conflict and the injustices of this world.

Togetherness with the ukulele
Playing the ukulele with people is when the ukulele is at it's most impactful to sing your cares away and just relax, taking in the music and feeling safe and rejuvenated. Memories and good times around music are so important to keep this world spinning in the right direction, to keep singing the songs you sing with your loved ones, strangers and weird and wacky people out there. Like a wise wizard once said "It's the little things that keep the darkness at bay"

Feel free to share any videos of your ukulele playing! especially with mates or family or whatever! We'd love to see them!
